We are the leading provider of innovative, high quality audio transducers and loudspeaker systems for automotive, consumer and professional audio applications. The company offers an innovative range of products and solutions unmatched in the industry.

In order to develop our products we have a multicultural team of both Western and Asian Engineers permanently located in China. Due to the rapid growth of our company we are looking to expand our engineering team by adding highly talented and practical Systems engineers, preferably Mandarin speaking and with Transducer experience.

The Lead Systems Engineer is responsible for leading a project team in developing audio systems, from concept through to production, driving the product forward and delivering product at cost and on schedule for many of the world’s leading high end brands.  We design, develop and manufacture subwoofers, studio monitors, iPod docks and other active loudspeaker systems.

A successful candidate must be able to take a project from a concept into production, including acoustic system design and testing. The applicant will exhibit good working knowledge of audio system design and measurements. They will be able to interpret customer requirements and specifications and optimize their designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.


Specific Duties include:

  • Ability to lead technical discussions with customers to define products that meet performance and cost targets.
  • Ability to conduct detail acoustic design with CAD software such as LEAPV, Akabak, LSPCAD or equivalent.
  • Excellent problem solving and product trouble shooting skills.
  • Project related task management of supporting engineers.
  • Technical management of the development audio products.
  • Excellent communication with customers and colleagues. 
  • Ability to guide and mentor others on technical issues. 
  • Help to manage the development of loudspeaker systems with inter-disciplinary team work approach .

Required Skills:

    

  • Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Acoustics or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in development of audio systems.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with customers to define products that meet performance and cost targets.
  • Ability to conduct detail acoustic design with CAD software such as LEAPV, Akabak, LSPCAD or equivalent.
  • Excellent problem solving and product trouble shooting skills.
  • Fluency in English (Mandarin is not required, however would be an excellent asset to have).
  • Excellent teamwork in a dynamic project environment.
  • RELOCATION TO CHINA REQUIRED

I can tell you a little more, but I'd rather not reveal the client name yet until I have contact with each friend personally and have their word that they will not go to them directly, but rather allow me to represent them.

(if they sidestep me and go directly to the client, then Skyline is cut out and also)
Let's just say that it is a really good company, I've worked with them for about 18 months, the team is very international and awesome, the best from around the world.

the location is outside of Shenzhen about 1.25 hours I understand (I've not visited there).

The salaries will vary depending experience, and whether the person is a Chinese national or an ex pat, but I have found them to be very competitive and ALL candidates seem happy--they have hired about 8 of my people for different roles within the company. And there is lots of holiday and a great new factory with an R&D center. And the executives are GREAT.

Hello CY,

thank you, I appreciate all your efforts!

As for communication, English does help, but frankly, this client needs Mandarin speaking folks as well, so please do not let that stop them from applying. We can always TRY!
