Maybe differential equation is  more comfortable for understanding everything. 
It unifies vibration and electrical systems, both are second order systems. In both cases, we mainly care about their sinusoidal steady state responses (solutions).

But I found acoustic radiation not very easy to understand. Maybe need more techniques such as fluid dynamics and statistical physics?

Is it available somewhere? I am EE background and acoustical physics is my weak point. Most of the time, I could only guess. But I find that this bbs is so good.
