Our factory is located in Panyu, Guangzhou City , China with easy transportation from Hong Kong, and Guangzhou Airport . Our R&D department is skilled and experienced under the guidance of Mr. Tony Loudson. Our production is done 100% in house to assure quality from materials to a finished product. To “never stop being innovative and creative” is our motto, and to conform to our customer's needs 100% to further the requirements of audio today and for what is to come, is Akip's goal.
Our research into Ribbons began some 10 years ago, and we now feel that we have perfected the manufacturing process and we feel ready to offer our products to the Audio community.
Audio is an objective art/science and at Akip, we feel that a Ribbon tweeter has more benefits than a conventional Dynamic tweeter. A Ribbon's performance when made correctly will have a smoother, cleaner and more extended response than any Dynamic device. With today's SHCD and other extended range formats, a Ribbon will also handle the necessary frequencies that are not audible to us, without difficulties. Of course there are some Dynamic devices that can reach 50kHz or better, but such devices are extremely difficult to produce, let alone make repeatable and therefore with a price tag that goes with it.
