working with, etc. Data can be entered manually, or
imported from IMP, CLIO, or LMS. The Hilbert-Bode transform
can be used to recover the complex transfer function from
the magnitude response of a driver, resulting in magnitude
and phase responses. Power levels fron 1 to 1000 Watts can
be analysed. Real loads, rather than ideal ones, are used
for crossover design and analysing crossovers and systems.
Driver impedance compensation, bump, zobel, parallel notch,
lattice, resistive L-pad calculators are included.
Parametric family plots can be generated for low-frequency
enclosure design problems (given start, finish and
increment values for Vb and Fb). Includes schematic capture
CAD crossover design ability, using 'pick and place', based
on nodal analysis techniques. A network optimiser is
provided. The enclosure can be placed in the listening
environment and moved about, and the results displayed. The
effects of voice coil heating on frequency response, on
high power drivers can be evaluated at all power levels.
The temperature of the magnet structure can be predicted if
thermal resistances are known. Box and crossover response
can be evaluated in the time domain and correlated with the
frequency response, using DSP techniques, (1024 point FFT
and IFFT). Data must be saved between modules.

their product with SPICE in the name. Some of the better
ones are PSPICE by MicroSim and HSPICE by Meta-Software.
The improved versions are much more expensive than the
Berkeley product (US$1,000 to US$30,000).
